If you are a Uinta County resident who feels your septic may be contaminating surface water, you may be eligible for this cost-share program. Faulty septic systems are a potential source of e. coli in our local streams. Both the Blacks Fork and Smiths Fork rivers have been listed on the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality's 303(d) list of impaired waters for e. coli bacteria.
Note: We are a non-enforcement agency. This means that if you fill out an AFO or CAFO Cost Share Program application, your information will be kept private and will not be reported to other agencies. We will not force you to participate after filling out the application, nor will we turn over any information you give us.
