Aerator Workshop
|
|
Every summer we offer local educators
the chance to earn 1 PTSB credit by attending a two day workshop geared towards
natural resources and outdoor education. We strive to bring in
professionals from several areas of instruction and to provide for a
great time! Last year we learned about Forest Fire Ecology, Nature
Journaling, Water Quality, Sheep Ranching, and Project WILD.
Please plan to attend, and give us your ideas!

Jeff Lewis discussing K line irrigation at the
Irrigation Technology Workshop
|
| On March 27th we provided a workshop
addressing Fecal Coliform and E. coli in the Blacks Fork and Smiths Fork
rivers (presented by Doug Miyamoto, Watershed Coordinator, Wyoming
Association of Conservation Districts), and septic system information
(presented by Don Ezola, the then Uinta County Compliance Officer) to
address the issue of faulty septic systems contaminating local waters.
This was followed up with a cost share septic system remediation program
offered to local landowners that qualified and wanted to participate.
