Classroom and Youth Camps

EnviroWe will visit your classroom or youth camps for special events, or no occasion at all!  We can adapt a lesson to your needs, as long as it relates to natural resources or agriculture.  If you are in need of resources, check out what we have:  Ground Water Flow Model, Enviroscape (model of a watershed), toolboxes of supplies for testing water quality and other resources.  We also have a few books on Earth Day and natural resources.

  Adopt A Rancher Program

ByprodIf you are a Uinta County teacher, your students can correspond with a local rancher through our Adopt A Rancher program.  From fall to spring your classroom will interact with your rancher through letters and pictures, and gain valuable knowledge about the ranchers experiences.  Each month there will be a new topic.  Your students will write letters to the rancher about each months topic, and in turn the rancher will write back to the students answering their questions.  After a school year of corresponding with your adopted rancher, we will host a "meet your rancher" field trip.  This is a great opportunity for your students to learn about agriculture in Uinta County and gain hands-on information about life as a rancher.  All costs associated with this program will be sponsored by the Uinta County Conservation District.  If you are interested in learning more about our Adopt A Rancher program, please give us a call at (307) 747-8224.Wag ride
